Christmas Dinnerware For Holiday Dining
Holiday dining is a treasured event all on its own and who doesn't love to sit around the dinner table decorated in Christmas decorations and, of course, dining on Christmas dinnerware for entertaining. One of my most favorite memories as a child was my Grandmother's Christmas dinnerware,and how it made the table look so wonderful.
I think one of the reasons that I went into painting glassware, and dinnerware was that my grandfather hand-painted my Grandmother's china when he was 12 years old. It was pure bone-white china with the classic gold trim, and his initials were painted on every plate and serving item.
His last name was Prather which I named my daughter, and, of course, she inherited the lovely china, a wonderful heirloom to pass down. Sad thing is that he quit painting after12 years of age because the boys called him a sissy. Don't get me started on that as it is another subject to tackle and such a waste of talent.
